1I have lost the keys, is it a problem ?
No this would not be a problem but we must have your permission to gain entry to the vehicle.
2My car has been stood for a long time, is this a problem ?
This should be no problem although collection can take a little longer.
3Does my vehicle need to be complete ?
We have no problem with you removing smaller parts and accessories from the vehicle but please tell us the full extent of the vehicle at the time of booking.
4When should I notify the DVLA ?
You should notify the DVLA when the vehicle is removed - If you do not have a logbook then you will be required to send a letter along with a copy of the disposal form to the DVLA, Swansea, SA99 1BD.
5What do I need to do before and after collection ?
Before collection you need to clear all contents from your vehicle and remove the tax disc if you wish to claim a refund. You must then complete section 9 on your logbook (V5 Document) and send it to the DVLA. If you do not have the V5 then you must notify them in writing (Always recorded post).
6Do you collect on weekends ?
Yes, we can collect on weekends.
7Do you only buy scrap cars ?
No, we also buy motorcycles, vans, lorries, motorhomes, in fact any type of scrap or damaged vehicle.
8Do you issue a (COD) Certificate of destruction ?
Yes, we will supply a COD.
9How long does collection take ?
Collection is normally made within 3 days.
10Do I need the logobook (V5) to scrap my car ?
We can scrap your car without the logbook V5 document. However it is important that you notify the DVLA with a covering letter that you have scrapped your vehicle. You might also want to print an extra copy of our vehicle surrender form and post that to DVLA, Swansea SA99 1BD.
11I want to keep my number plate.
When your application has been approved by the DVLA, you will receive a V778 Retention Document. Don’t sell or scrap your vehicle till you receive this document!
